Learn geography by playing
Welcome to Geodly: Free Educational Geography Games
Geodly is a free collection of educational geography games designed to make learning about the world active, memorable, and fun. Play Flag Drawing, Flag Streak, Outline Streak, City Collector, Pin Point, Geo Guess, Geo Click, Terra Tac Toe, GeoDecide, Geo Sort, Border Clash, GeoLingo, and multiplayer Party games from any device.
In City Collector, name cities from the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Italy, and Spain. Try the Nordic Pack with Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and Finland, or the combined North America mode with Greenland included. Every correct answer adds a real city to your map, with larger population centres shown as larger markers. The game rewards both knowledge and curiosity, helping players discover how urban areas are distributed while practising spelling and place recognition.
Flag Drawing turns geography into a creative challenge. Draw a national flag from memory using brushes, shapes, colour tools, and helpful hints, then compare your artwork with the real design. Try the daily challenge, Flag Streak, or Outline Streak to practise under pressure, improve your score, and build a longer run of correct answers.
Pin Point tests country knowledge one clue at a time. Use statistics, outlines, and flag details to identify the correct country in as few clues as you can. Geo Guess adds flag and outline challenges against the clock, while Geo Click asks you to find a named country, state, or capital on the map.
Terra Tac Toe puts a puzzle twist on country knowledge: fill a 3x3 grid where every square must satisfy both its row and column category, from population size and continent to EU membership, landlocked borders, and flag details. Choose Easy or Hard mode, play solo, or challenge a friend on the same device.
GeoDecide is a quick higher-or-lower game about countries and statistics. Compare two countries across categories such as population, land area, GDP, life expectancy, and unemployment, then choose the side with the higher value. Build a streak, protect your three lives, and try to beat your best run.
GeoLingo turns language recognition into a geography challenge. Read short clues such as “Hello” and “Thank you” in a mystery language, then choose the country that fits. Border Clash offers a hands-on map challenge where you draw the border between two neighbouring countries.
Geo Sort gives every player the same daily set of eight countries to place across ranked categories. Build the lowest possible total score and return each day for a new challenge. Party mode lets friends create or join a room and compete together in multiplayer geography rounds.
Geodly is suitable for students, teachers, families, trivia fans, and anyone who enjoys learning through short challenges. Play at an easy pace or choose a harder timer, return for the daily challenge, and use each round to strengthen your world geography knowledge. Rules, scoring and tips
How to play every game
Each guide explains the rules in full, shows exactly how the score is worked out, and gives tips that follow from those rules.
- City CollectorType the names of cities and towns to pin them on the map and add their population to your total. No timer, no penalties.
- Flag DrawingDraw a named flag from memory before the timer runs out, then see how closely your colours and shapes match the real one. Scores run from 0 to 1,000.
- Outline DrawingTrace the border of a named country from memory. Your line is resized to fit the real outline and scored out of 1,000 on how well the shapes match.
- Pin PointName the mystery country from as few clues as possible. Five hints are revealed one at a time: a statistic, area, population, outline and flag.
- Geo GuessPlay Geo Guess inside Geo Sprint. Name countries from flags or outlines in ten timed rounds, earning up to 1,000 points per fast, correct answer.
- Geo ClickA name appears and you click the matching country, US state or capital on the map. Found places stay blue until the whole map is complete.
- Geo SprintRace through a region’s flags against a stopwatch, or choose the built-in Geo Guess quiz for ten timed flag or outline questions.
- Terra Tac ToeFill a 3x3 grid with countries that match both the row and the column clue. Play solo, or take turns with a friend to make three in a row.
- GeoDecideTwo countries, one statistic. Pick the country with the higher value, build a streak and keep going until you lose your three lives.
- Geo SortA daily puzzle: place eight countries into eight categories, one at a time. Each placement adds that country's world rank. Lowest total wins.
- Border ClashTwo neighbouring countries are merged into one shape. Draw the missing border between them and score up to 1000 for accuracy.
- Geo ChainLink a start country to a target by typing neighbouring countries one at a time. The aim is the route with the fewest countries.
- GeoLingoRead four everyday phrases in a mystery language and pick the country that speaks it. Ten rounds, 15 seconds each, faster answers score more.
- Emoji RebusSay the emoji out loud to hear a country name, then type it. Ten puzzles per game, 15 seconds each, and quicker answers earn more points.
- Geo CollideDrop countryballs into a box and merge matching pairs into bigger countries, from Vatican City up to Russia, without stacking past the ceiling line.
- Geo SizeResize countries, US states and landmarks to match their real-world scale. Play five rounds, reveal the true size and score up to 5,000 points.
- Party ModeCreate a private room, share the 9-digit code and play live against up to five friends in Flag Draw, Outline Draw, Geo Click, Border Clash or City Collector.
