Geodly/Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what information is stored or collected when you use Geodly at https://geodly.com, why, and what choices you have. Geodly is published by WebGames, which is responsible for the information described here. You can play every game without an account and without giving your name or email address.

Information stored in your browser

Geodly saves your game progress in your browser's local storage: best streaks, completed maps, collected cities, timers and similar settings. This information stays on your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Geodly also stores a random identifier in local storage so that visits can be counted. It is not linked to your name, email address or any account.

Information we collect

Visit and game counts. When you open the site or start a game, your browser sends the random identifier described above, together with the name of the game mode, to our server. We use this to see how many people play and which games are popular.

Log data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard log data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the service running and secure.

City Collector answers. City names you type in City Collector are sent to our server so they can be checked against the list of cities. They are not stored with anything that identifies you.

Party games. The nickname you choose in a multiplayer room, and your drawings and scores in that room, are shown to the other players. Rooms are held in memory and are deleted shortly after they are created. They are not saved to a database.

Optional profile

If you choose to create a profile, sign-in is handled by Clerk, an authentication provider. Clerk processes your email address and stores your Geodly profile data, such as unlocked GeoBalls and play statistics, so that it follows you between devices. You can keep playing without a profile at any time.

Advertising and cookies

Geodly uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.

To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Geodly does not control the cookies set by Google or other advertising partners. These services receive your IP address directly from your browser.

Other third-party services

To show flags, maps and text, your browser loads files from flagcdn.com (flag images), jsDelivr (map data) and Google Fonts (typefaces). As with any website request, these providers receive your IP address and browser details. Geodly does not send them any other information about you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the CCPA, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, or to restrict or object to its use. To make a request, please contact us. If you created a profile, tell us the email address you signed in with so we can find it.
