Short, interactive challenges turn flags, cities, countries, borders, and languages into active practice.
Geodly is a free collection of geography games created to make learning about the world active, visual, and fun.
Why we built it
Geography connects people, places, cultures, languages, and history. We built Geodly to make that knowledge easier to explore through quick challenges that invite you to think, draw, compare, guess, and try again.
From drawing flags and collecting cities to recognising languages and finding borders, each game approaches geography from a different angle. No account is required—choose a mode and start playing.
Short, interactive challenges turn flags, cities, countries, borders, and languages into active practice.
Every mode is designed to reward experimentation, repeated practice, and discovering something new about the world.
Geodly is made for students, teachers, families, trivia fans, and anyone who wants to improve their geography.
What is on the site
Geodly currently has 17 games. Every game has a guide that sets out the rules, shows how the score is calculated and gives tips. The guides are written from the rules the games actually use, so the numbers in them match what happens on screen.
There are also profiles of 117 countries with capital, flag, neighbours and the statistics that appear in the games, and a daily flag page that shows today's challenge and the last 30 days.
How it is made
Flags are loaded from Flagpedia's flagcdn.com. The world maps use the Natural Earth boundaries published in the world-atlas project. City Collector uses the GeoNames gazetteer. Country statistics are rounded figures meant for comparison in the games, not an official reference.
Borders, names and capitals are sometimes disputed, and figures change over time. If you find something that is wrong or out of date, please tell us and we will correct it.
Who is behind it
Geodly is built, maintained and published by WebGames. It is free to play and needs no account. New games are added over time, and you can suggest one by writing to suggestgame@geodly.com. For anything else, reach us at contact@geodly.com.
